iWood is a US company that creates high quality eco luxury designs. The designer, Stephen McMenamin, began his career in New York, working for major brands such as Porsche, Hickey-Freeman and Lacoste. Stephen set out to produce superior eyewear from luxury wood veneers. As he became familiar with the product and process, he began to notice a trend – what was best for his product was best for our planet. Each wood panel is Forest Stewarship Council (FSC) certified and are made from excess wood that are already being used for other products and are harvested using sustainable methods. Each pair of glasses is hand-cut, hand-sanded, hand-finished and only a limited pairs of wooden sunglasses are produced in the US each year.
